Analysing

Now I have looked at how a Digipack is made I can now start to analysis different Digipacks. Below is an image of a digipack that was released by Oasis.

In this digipack by looking on the front cover we can clearly see that it is of Oasis performing acoustic on the radio. This information was easily visible which results in the product being easily recognised and read by the audience. As it clearly states the artist it will result in the target audience of Oasis will be attracted to the digipack.

The colour scheme that Oasis have used also represents the genre of music they are presenting in this digipack. Again by looking at the text we can see that the music is acoustic and as a result we can see a picture of a guitar. The guitar is a typical wooden acoustic guitar so as a result it is presented in a wooden colour. As a result to link this to the rest of the album the floor that it is sat on is a wooden floor. We can also see that the inside and back page of the digipack is presented in a dark brown and black. This again represents the guitar that we can see on the front page which in turn represents the genre of the digipack. The wall that the guitar is learning on is white. This is because its strong contrast between the two results in the guitar standing out from the background. The digipack has used this again as we can see inside the CD has been presented in the colour white which stands out from the panel it is shown on.

On the back page we can see that the songs that are included on the CD have been printed on the back. This tells the the consumer exactly what is on the CD which will attract the target audience. Often CDs can be lost or seperated from the case. In the case that this does happen the songs that are on the CD have been put onto the white of the CD itself. This means that the consumer can still see what is on the CD itself.
